North Korea makes plans for Dear Leader succession
    Zimbabwe Star
    Tuesday 7th September, 2010

North Korea has supposedly prepared a meeting between members of the ruling communist party.

It is expected a forthcoming Workers’ Party Convention will be the first of its kind since 1966, as members will be asked to confirm the youngest son of the current leader as the heir to the presidency.

Kim Jong Un is the Swiss-educated son of North Korea’s Dear Leader, Kim Jong Il.

He is widely expected by analysts to take over from Kim in the politically isolated communist state, which has recently seen his father suffering a serious illness.

Party delegates from all corners of the country have been gathering in the capital, according to South Korean intelligence sources, who have also reported troops, artillery and tanks massing outside the city.

A North Korean newspaper said on Monday: "A historical moment that will open a significant new chapter in the history of our party is about to come. The people’s hearts awaiting the revolutionary, festive occasion heat up due to their joy and happiness."
